Aqualyx.

Aqualyx.

Aqualyx fat dissolving treatment, is a non-surgical treatment that is designed to reduce and remove stubborn areas of fat. It is a perfect solution for those who exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet but have problem areas of fatty tissue.

It is a water based solution, that is injected into the fatty tissue that surrounds the cells and destroys them. The remains of the fat cells are then excreted by the body safely and naturally as waste.

Destroying the fat cells is a long-term solution provided you retain a stable weight, eat healthily and continue to exercise as usual. Aqualyx does lead to permanent reduction of fatty tissue; once removed the fat cells will not reappear.

Aqualyx in the Face.

When we age, our face begins to lose volume and our skin starts to sag  often resulting in the  development of jowls. Aqualyx excels as an effective treatment for facial contouring, helping you to feel and look amazing. The treatment can be used to reduce any fatty part of the face such as jowls, double chin or even fat around the jaw.

If you are considering this treatment, you will receive a thorough consultation with our aesthetician where you can discuss all of your expectations and ask any questions you may have. They will be able to create a tailored plan and provide you with guidance to achieve your goals.

We want you to look and feel amazing about your body. Using Aqualyx is a great way of boosting your confidence by removing stubborn pockets of fat. Aqualyx can be used in pads or pockets of fat anywhere on the body. It is a treatment that has been practiced globally, giving it an excellent track record for being a safe and non-invasive method of eliminating fat.

After a thorough consultation with our aestheticians, they will mark out the area of concern. Aqualyx is then mixed with an anaesthetic before injection for a greater level of comfort. A number of injections are made in a fan effect to ensure that the entire area is covered.

A reduction in fat deposits can be seen after just one treatment, however between three and eight sessions are recommended to achieve desired results. Your aesthetician will discuss the treatment in depth during your consultation and give personalised advice.

A reduction in fat in the targeted area can be noted a number of weeks post-treatment. The speed at which noticeable results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger clients are more likely to see results after a longer period. In very small fat pads, the desired results can already be seen after one treatment.

Results are long term as the fat cells in the target area have been destroyed. Although this is providing that you retain a stable weight, eat healthily and continue to exercise.

As Aqualyx is  a non-surgical treatment it means no downtime and no general Anaesthetic risks. There are no incisions, stitches are not required and scarring is very unlikely.

There are some temporary side effects, which include bruising, swelling, redness and irritation in the injection area. Sometimes it may feel a slightly tender to touch, numb or itchy but these side effects usually reside after 1-3 days.

Aqualyx is a treatment for stubborn areas of fat.  It is not a substitute for diet and exercise and it is not a substitute to liposuction.  We do have the occasional patient that is not suitable, if that is the case our aestheticians will help to advise you with potential treatment alternatives.  Although if you are just concerned about stubborn fat in the face, the majority of individuals are suitable and we can achieve amazing transformations with either Aqualyx alone or Aqualyx used with a combination of other treatments.

Here at Brook Bottom Aesthetics we ensure everything is done to make any discomfort minimal. Aqualyx is mixed with a local anaesthetic to help ease. Aqualyx can be uncomfortable in the body during the procedure as well as after, we advise the use pain killers and resting post-procedure. However, treatment administered to the face causes very  little discomfort.

Here at Brook Bottom Aesthetics all of our treatments are bespoke to you which means that our practitioners will never give you a result that doesn’t suit you and occasionally we may refuse treatment altogether. The Aqualyx treatment can achieve dramatic results in a very short period of time so it is very important to prepare yourself for the fact that your face may look different. Our consultants will give you a full overview of what to expect from your treatment during your consultation.
